The spirit of sportsmanship, the roar of the crowd, and the thrill of competition—MIPS Khel Utsab 2024 was everything we hoped for and more. Held on the 27th and 28th of December 2024, our annual sports extravaganza brought together students, faculty, and staff for two days of high-octane energy and unforgettable memories.
Under the inspiring motto, “Ignite the Future, Embrace the Challenge,” the Milestones Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (MIPS) proved that our community is as talented on the field as they are in the laboratory.
Venue & Atmosphere
The event took place across two premier locations: the Chandrapur School Ground and the local Football Stadium. From the early morning hours of the first day, the air was filled with excitement. Decked out in team colors, the participants brought a level of passion that truly embodied the “Extra Mile for Excellence.”
Highlights of the Meet
The two-day festival featured a diverse range of athletic and team-based events:
- Football Fever: The stadium witnessed some incredible footwork and strategic gameplay, with the final match keeping everyone on the edge of their seats until the very last whistle.
- Cricket Classics: At the cricket pitch, we saw powerful batting displays and clinical bowling performances that showcased the discipline and focus of our pharmacy students.
- Track & Field: The spirit of the phoenix (as seen on our official banner) was alive in our sprinters, who pushed their limits in various racing categories.
- Team Spirit: Beyond the trophies, the most heartening sight was the camaraderie. Whether it was cheering from the sidelines or a sportsmanlike handshake after a tough loss, the MIPS values were on full display.
A Note of Gratitude
This event would not have been possible without the tireless efforts of the organizing committee, the volunteers, and the sports department. A special thank you to our hosts at the Chandrapur School Ground for providing such a fantastic environment for our athletes to shine.
“Victory is great, but the journey and the lessons learned on the field—discipline, teamwork, and resilience—are what truly prepare our students for the future.” — MIPS Administration
