The future of pharmaceutical education in Tripura reached a new milestone this week as our Director conducted an official visit and inspection of the brand-new Milestones Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (MIPS) campus.

With the foundation stone having been laid in March 2024, the rapid development of this state-of-the-art facility marks a significant leap forward for the region. Spanning a massive 1,19,000 sq. ft., the new campus is designed to be one of the largest standalone pharmacy colleges in Northeast India.

Highlights of the Director’s Visit

During the walkthrough, the Director focused on several key areas that will define the student experience starting in the 2025-26 academic year:

  • Next-Gen Laboratories: Inspection of the advanced lab spaces designed for B.Pharm and D.Pharm research, ensuring they meet the highest PCI (Pharmacy Council of India) standards.
  • Smart Infrastructure: A review of the theatre-style seating classrooms equipped with interactive smart boards and the centralized AC systems.
  • Student Amenities: A visit to the sprawling sports complex, track and field areas, and the new cafeteria, emphasizing the “holistic development” mission of MIPS.
  • Strategic Location: The Director noted the advantage of our location next to the Chandrapur Government Football Stadium, which provides students with unparalleled access to professional-grade athletic facilities.

A Vision for Excellence

Addressing the faculty and site team, the Director shared a vision for the new campus:

“This is more than just a building; it is a center of innovation. By combining high-fidelity technology with a focus on student well-being, we are creating an environment where the next generation of pharmacists doesn’t just learn—they lead.”
